Striker Eugeniu Rebenja is the fifth player signed by Petrocub this winter. Earlier, the team trained by Lilian Popescu signed contracts with fullbacks Petru Racu and Constantin Bogdan, halfback Alexandru Onica and striker Sergiu Plătica, IPN reports.
Rebenja, 24, during the last two seasons played for Dinamo-Auto, scoring ten goals in 44 matches. In his career, he also played for Sheriff, FC Tiraspol and Speranța. With Sheriff, he was twice champion and holder of the Cup and Super Cup. He also played for the national juniors teams of Moldova and scored one goal for the U-21 team in the encounter with the Czech Republic.
Petrocub meets Sheriff within the third stage of the Federation Cup on February 22, starting at 2pm. The other fixtures are: Zimbru - Codru, Speranța - Dacia-Buiucani, Milsami - FC Florești and Dinamo-Auto - Sfîntul Gheorghe.
