The European Union will offer assistance to the Government of the Republic of Moldova in preparing investment projects for implementing the Association Agreement in the framework of a technical assistance project. The contract to the value of €5.9 million will be implemented by the consortium consisting of DT Global IDEV Europe, S.L. and Four Assist that was selected at the tender contest held by the EU Delegation to Moldova, IPN reports.
The Ministry of Finance said the goal of the project is to strengthen national authorities’ skills to design projects, ensuring simultaneously complementarity between the implementation of the Association Agreement and foreign assistance.
National institutions’ capacities to identify, formulate, manage, monitor and assess projects financed with foreign funds will also be strengthened. There will be compiled and used a list of financially viable investment projects.
The project will be implemented during five years as of September 1 this year. Its beneficiaries are the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and the responsible ministries.
