The European Union has announced new humanitarian aid worth €140 million for Ukraine and €8 million for Moldova. EU crisis management commissioner Hadja Lahbib said the EU will continue to support those affected by the crisis.
"As Russia continues its cruel cruelty in the dead of winter, the EU is stepping up its support to keep the lights on and homes warm", said Hadja Lahbib.
The European Commissioner said the support will focus on supporting Ukrainian refugees and host communities in the Republic of Moldova, prioritizing cash assistance, access to essential services such as healthcare, education and psychosocial support.
