The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was met by President Maia Sandu at the Mimi Castle in Bulboaca. The two reiterated before the journalists that the restoration of peace on the continent is one of the most important subjects that will be discussed at the European Political Community Summit, IPN reports.

“A lot of things are to be discussed. Ukraine and how peace on the continent can be restored are among the most important subjects on our agenda. We must reaffirm the support for Ukraine, which resists the Russian aggression. We will also discuss issues related to energy, security and connectivity. We want to work for the benefit of the citizens of our countries,” stated President Maia Sandu.

Ukraine’s participation in the summit wasn’t announced. The Moldovan authorities earlier said that the announcement concerning the Ukrainian leader’s participation will be made on the summit day for security reasons.

Volodymyr Zelensky told the reporters that he is happy to be today at the EPC Summit and that it wasn’t at all easy for him to get to it. He thanked the people of Moldova for standing by the refugees. “We will never forget this,” stated the Ukrainian official.
