Hearings on the gas price hike will be organized in Parliament on December 3. Energy Minister Victor Parlicov will be summoned to next week's session of the legislature, IPN reports.

"As we announced yesterday, public hearings will be organized in the parliament on the energy situation. On Tuesday at 10.00 in the Europa Hall. All institutions and companies in the sector will participate. At the same time, we will also invite the energy minister to the plenary session next Thursday", said Radu Marian, chairman of the Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance, at the beginning of the Parliament session.

Moldovagaz submitted to ANRE a request to increase the natural gas tariff by almost 40%, with 4 lei more for a cubic meter, starting December 1. The application was to be examined on Wednesday, but the agency postponed the meeting to Friday. The institution justified its initiative to urgently adjust natural gas prices by the fact that purchase prices on international markets have increased significantly. It also referred to guaranteeing the viability of the supplier and avoiding financial risks.

It has been reported in the public space that on Wednesday evening, deputies of the Action and Solidarity Party held heated talks with Energy Minister Victor Parlicov. The information was not confirmed by the parties.
