Energy block No. 3 of JSC “Termoelectrica” went out of operation. According to the company, the block was shut down close to midnight due to a fault in the boiler economizer, namely in the installation for preheating water before it is introduced into the steam boiler, IPN reports.
“The economizer of energy block No. 3 has an operating age of 45 years. We note that in accordance with the Investment Plan for 2024, we will replace the economizer of energy block No. 3 with a new economizer, which is currently being manufactured at the plant,” the company said in a press release.
The fault is to be dealt with during two-three days so that the energy block will be reconnected to the grid on January 7. According to “Termoelectrica”, heat energy consumers are not affected by the disconnection of the block. Respectively, all consumers connected to the centralized heating system are provided with heat energy.
Currently, energy block No. 1 works and the thermal regime of the centralized heat supply system is ensured in accordance with the predetermined parameters.
“Termoelectrica” also said that the repair works at energy block No. 2 are at the final stage. Testing works are taking place in parallel. It is estimated that energy block No. 2 will be put in operation on January 15-16.
