The joint stock company Energocom extended the contract with the Moldovan Power Plant (MGRES) of the Transnistrian region for June, IPN reports.

According to Energocom, 303,000 MWh of power will be purchased at the price of 66 USD/MWh, which was agreed at the end of March for a period of six months. This is 95% of the needs of the right side of the Nistru River.

The rest of the power, especially during peak rate, will be bought from the Romanian electricity market operator OPCOM. On May 24, Ukraine suspended the expert of electricity to the neighboring countries. Since then Energocom has replaced the power purchased from Ukrhidroenergo with electrical energy purchased from OPCOM.

Next month, the Romanian company SN Nuclearelectrica SA will continue its maintenance works.
