Energocom for the first time purchased 15 MWh of electricity from the Romanian Commodities Exchange of Bucharest, the designated electricity market operator in Romania. The move was aimed at diversifying the energy sources and develop the existing partnerships, Energocom explained in a press release, IPN reports.

According to the interim director of Energocom Eugeniu Buzatu, this is an important step in the company’s strategy to expand acquisition options and strengthen partnerships with trading platforms, thus ensuring an efficient and flexible management of energy resources.

"Given that the Romanian market is coupled with the European one, the prices set on the respective platforms are aligned, guaranteeing the transparency and fairness of the procurement process," added the head of Energocom.

According to Energocom, through this purchase, the company reaffirms its commitment to the development of a stable and innovative energy sector, in line with regional and European trends.
