The Public Amenities Division of Chisinau started work at 3am. Its employees, with 46 pieces of equipment, spread 36 tonnes of antiskid materials, IPN reports.
Since 5am, about 400 employees of the municipal housing sector managing enterprises have been engaged in snow removal works at public transport stations, on sidewalks, on waste collection platforms and on the ways of access to social facilities.
The Chisinau City Hall said vehicle traffic is affected by the winter road conditions, while the responsible services deal with problematic situations in cooperation with the National Public Security Inspectorate. The public transport runs on all the municipal routes, with small deviations from the timetable on the routes to suburban localities and on sloping roads.
