Former minister of the interior Alexandru Jizdan, who runs for MP on the list of the Democratic Party (PDM), said the employees of the Ministry of the Interior should be protected and respected so that they remain in the system. According to him, a permanent analysis of the risk factors is needed and the administration of the Ministry of the Interior should be engaged in the elimination of these factors. The ex-minister, who held this post for over three years, spoke about the necessity of paying decent salaries and of providing the employees from the system with dwellings, IPN reports.

The PDM’s secretary general in a news conference presented the party’s view about the development of the areas of home affairs and national security, which is detailed in the Country Plan “Moldova Different”.

Alexandru Jizdan said that from government to government, from elections to elections, too many experiments were conducted in relation to the employees of the Ministry of the Interior. “During the rule of the PDM, I was named minister and held this post for three years and a half. The area wasn’t foreign to me. The Ministry of the Interior was the home where I grew up. I was lucky to meet with professionals who were devoted to the job,” said Alexandru Jizdan.

He also said that the projects and programs stipulated in the Democrats’ Country Plan should be developed and implemented for all the categories of employees of the Ministry of the Interior. “The promotion of these projects will increase the attractiveness of posts at the Ministry of the Interior, primarily for beginners. The newcomers should benefit from decent conditions and salaries. We will identify solutions for increasing the beginners’ pay to 10,000 lei and will continue the project to build homes,” stated the Democrat.

He noted that the PDM’s team will continue to implement important projects for the country and the people.
