The wards of the Chisinau Emergency Hospital are overcrowded. In some of the sections, patients’ beds were put in corridors, where they receive the necessary treatment, Info-Prim Neo reports.
National Emergency Medicine Center spokesman Petru Cravet said the medical institution has 600 beds, but the number of persons who seek help daily is higher.
Doctors take into account the gravity of the patients’ state and discharge those who can be treated at home, freeing thus beds for those who are in a more serious condition.
As many as 450 persons needed medical care after falling on ice this winter so far, the number of patients being much higher compared with the previous years.
