Eleven passengers hurt in minibus accident

After colliding with a taxi, a minibus running on route crashed into a concrete pole at an intersection in Chisinau on Tuesday evening. Eleven passengers received injuries. Aurelia Mija, PR inspector of the Traffic Police Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened at the intersection of the streets Bucuresti and Vasile Alecsandri close to midnight. The minibus running on route No. 115 was going on Bucuresti St towards Botanica district, while the taxi was traveling along Vasile Alecsandri St. According to the first investigations, the taxi driver is to blame for the accident as he did not give way to the minibus that was going along a main road. However, eyewitnesses said the accident may have been avoided if the minibus had traveled at a lower speed.
