Eleven die in fires in February

Eleven persons lost their lives in the eighty five fires registered in the eleven days of February. In seven of these cases, the cause was smoking in bed, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the principal specialist of the Fire Department within the Emergency Situations Department, Dumitru Stanila, the main causes that generated the fire were the infringements of the rules of stove exploitation and the malfunctions of the gas evacuation channels - 21 fires, the lack of attention while using the open fire - 6 fires, imprudence while smoking - 9 fires. The malfunctioning stoves have caused the death of 3 persons, while lighted cigarettes – 7. Fires partially destroyed 12 dwellings, have damaged 13 auxiliary constructions and 7 transportation units.
