The struggle for the seat of MP becomes more intense. During the first electoral debate on ProTV Chisinau, representatives of election contenders staged a competition of promises and shifted responsibility for the current situation in the Republic of Moldova onto each other, IPN reports.
The fight against corruption will be the priority of the Electoral Bloc “Renato Usatîi”, if it gains 7% of the vote and enters Parliament. The political entity also proposed a plan for reforming the local public administration.
“We will liquidate the National Anticorruption Center that became a corruption nest. We will reform the SIS and will create a National Intelligence Agency according to the Mossad model in Israel, which will deal with grand corruption – the fat tomcats. We will liquidate district councils, not yet the districts as a territorial administrative form – these entities only consume public funds and are an impediment to the development of settlements as they distribute public funds according to political criteria. We propose distributing the money depending on the number of residents and the area of the settlement,” Ilian Cașu, the representative of the Electoral Bloc “Renato Usatîi”, stated in the electoral debates “I vote you on ProTV”.
The fight against corruption is at the top of priorities of the PACE. “When I entered politics, I made public my criminal record. During 20 years of work, I have never been investigated or at least fined. For any person with a public post who committed an act of corruption, the punishment should be only imprisonments and confiscation of property,” said the leader of the Party “Building Europe at Home” (PACE) Gheorghe Cavcaliuc.
In the debates, the representative of the Party “Common Action – Civic Congress”, assured that their party in the future Parliament will never form an alliance with the Shor Party. “In the future Parliament, we will be ready to cooperate with any MP who will accept our action plan. There is only one party that should be outlawed – the Shor Party. It is a party that took part in the bank fraud and contributes to the country’s degradation. We will never form an alliance with them,” said ex-MP Iurie Muntean.
The electoral debates “I vote you on ProTV” are staged by ProTV Chisinau channel in cooperation with Promo-LEX Association, Radio Free Europe’s Moldovan Service, Anticorupție.md, the online publication NewsMaker, IPN News Agency and the portal Privesc.eu. The debates are possible thanks to the support of the American people offered through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
