Efficiency of ambassadors’ activity will be mirrored by Moldova’s image outside

The efficiency of the diplomatic missions of Moldova shall be assessed the way we are seen and understood outside, the head of the state, Vladimir Voronin, declared on a Wednesday meeting, July 26, with the heads of RM diplomatic and consular missions. According to the presidential press service, the head of the state urged the diplomatic staff to show more initiative and insistence on informing the foreign making-decision bodies about the real situation and issues, interests and position of RM. Vladimir Voronin welcomed the organizing of biannual meetings of the diplomatic staff as an important element in highlighting, coordinating and efficiently implementing RM foreign policy. As regards the priorities, the president mentioned the evolution of RM on the European integration path, strengthening of the dialogue with the international and European structures, with neighboring states, EU and USA, promoting Moldovan exports, attracting investments, ensuring economic security, political solving of the Transnistrian issue, protection of Moldovan citizens abroad, and building RM positive image outside. The meeting of the heads of RM diplomatic missions and consulates is held on July 24-27 in Chisinau. The event ends on Thursday, July 27, with a working visit to Ungheni raion. The last meeting of this kind took place in the summer of 2004.
