The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research has launched the annual program of grants intended for youth organizations. By this contest, financial and logistic support will be offered to implement youth projects, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Ministry.

The contest is open to noncommercial youth organizations of the Republic of Moldova that implement projects and programs with an impact on the youth. They should be legal entities and noncommercial organizations whose statutory goals include the development of the personality of young people and their integration into the public life.

For 2021, there will be selected youth projects that address one of the following themes: development of the civic spirit among the young people; promotion of intergenerational dialogue and volunteering activities among the youth; improvement of digital skills and supporting of education activities in the mass media among the youth; development of mechanisms for socially integrating socially disadvantaged young people, etc.

The grant funding totaling 1.5 million lei will be provided for supporting youth projects proposed by organizations that didn’t benefit from financing through the agency of this contest.

Priority will be given to projects whose final beneficiaries will include 15% of socially disadvantaged young people, representatives of ethnic minorities or non-studying and non-working young people. Among the eligible projects are those that are implemented by the authorities of the territorial administrative units where the youth services and policies are underdeveloped.

The proposed projects must have a budget of at most 420,000 lei and an implementation period of a maximum of eight months, starting not earlier than April 1 and ending not later than December 1, 2021.
