Economic entities which, in the Government’s opinion, are active and responsible, will be exempted from the participation fee to the seventh edition of the Made in Moldova Exhibition, said Premier Vasile Tarlev at a Government meeting devoted to the organisation of the exhibition on Friday, 25 January. Minister of Economy and Trade Igor Dodon announced a record number of participants in this year’s edition – about 300 economic entities. The exhibition will cover an area twice as big as last year’s – 2,000 square metres. 85% of the exhibition space was already distributed, the organisers ready to extend it in case more participants appear, the cited source said. The Government will cover a part of the participation costs, said Igor Dodon, without naming a specific sum. The Premier instructed relevant Government offices to order as many t-shirts displaying the name of the exhibition as possible. According to him, promotional t-shirts must be enough for all visitors of the exhibition, including for foreign guests that might decide to buy something to remember of from the exhibition and previously did not have the opportunity to. The state will award three annual prizes to Moldovan businessmen: The State Quality Award, The Best Taxpayer of the Year and the Best Trade Mark. 50, 180 and 75 economic entities, respectively, have enrolled in the race. The nominations will be made at the following Government sittings. As regards the organisation on 6 February of the Moldova-Russia Forum, which is part of the exhibition, Premier Vasile Tarlev told the Government persons in charge that all the decisions that will be made at the Forum will have to be of reciprocal interest. Although the Russian market is important to us, we must not forget the lessons learned in 1998 and 2006, Vasile Tarlev said.
