Two young men investigated for keeping and selling large quantities of drugs were remanded in custody for 30 days. The two are aged 20 and 25, IPN reports.
The case happened last September, but was communicated by the Border Police now. Border police officers noticed at night two persons near a former factory in Lipcani town. The two threw a suspect object in a water reservoir and ran away. The border police patrol found a rucksack with marijuana, LSD, PVP, MDMA and cocaine there. On the black market, the drugs cost over 2 million lei.
During searches at the homes and in the cars of the suspects, the police seized money, drugs looking like PVP, MDMA, marijuana and also large quantities of cocaine, estimated at 500,000 lei.
The two face a jail term of 7 to 15 years for illegal distribution of drugs.
