Am amount of drugs worth over 2.2 million lei was seized in the capital city. Four young people from Chisinau and Balti, including a minor, are suspected of involvement in this case, IPN reports.
According to the National Investigation Inspectorate, the four suspects, aged between 17 and 35, worked through Telegram at several online drug stores.
They had the role of storing drugs in particularly large quantities, with subsequent packaging in smaller quantities. They placed the packs in different hiding places (parks, forest strips) to be taken by final consumers. Payments were made at public payment terminals.
Three suspects were remanded in custody for 30 days. The minor is investigated outside remand.
Synthetic drugs, such as mephedrone, amphetamine and PVP, a pneumatic gun, high-precision electronic scales, accessories for packaging and using drugs, money that was allegedly earned from drug trafficking and mobile phones used to sell narcotic substances were seized during searches.
The suspects face 7 to 15 years in prison.
