A drone was spotted today on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, the fourth drone since the beginning of november. This time the flying object was found on the territory of Chisinau municipality. More precisely, in the perimeter of the Port Mall and Arena Chisinau, IPN reports, referring to police information.
Law enforcement officers were notified around 11:20 by a citizen who reported that he had noticed a flying object fallen to the ground.
The IGP's press officer Diana Fetco confirmed to IPN that experts from the technical-explosives section of the Technical-Criminalistic and Forensic Expertise Center of the IGP went to the scene. The object was taken for a detailed examination. Preliminarily, the law enforcement officers found that the drone was similar to those previously found.
Since the beginning of november, three other drones have been spotted on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, in the districts of Causeni, Criuleni and Riscani.
Law enforcement officials say there is no risk or danger to citizens' safety.
The police call on citizens who spot suspicious aircraft or other devices that have fallen to the ground not to approach or touch them, but to immediately notify the police on the emergency number 112.
