Driving schools will have to ensure a minimum pass rate of 50% in the theory test and 30% in the practical test in the second attempt. Otherwise, from 2026, the right to registration will be suspended within six months, and if problems persist, accreditation will be permanently withdrawn. The provisions are contained in a draft adopted by the government, IPN reports.

"They examine in January the promotability on the school in question, if things don't look good, they have half a year to fix it. And if even after a year from the time of finding the deviations they are not resolved, there is the possibility of withdrawing the accreditation", said Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun.

According to him, the new provisions will improve the quality of training and ultimately reduce the number of road accidents.
