Drivers and anyone interested will be able to access information about road accidents on an interactive map: harta.asd.md. The data are placed by the National Public Security Inspectorate jointly with the State Road Administration and SRL Royal Map.
The map offers current data on road category, road condition, road geometry, road wear, flatness index and other.
The map contains a search engine where road sectors can be viewed by geographic coordinates. The data presented on the interactive map contribute to the planning of the necessary works, increasing transparency, but also to the analysis of the accident situation in road traffic.
“The map aims to create geospatial monitoring by implementing and analyzing road sectors with increased risk of road accidents and facilitating communication with other institutions for the exchange of data among them regarding road infrastructure, as well as the further development of road networks”, the authorities say.
