Prime Minister Dorin Recean has urged Romanian citizens from the Republic of Moldova to vote for the election of Romania's president. He also expressed his support for USR candidate Elena Lasconi, IPN reports.
"I encourage you to go out and vote, whether you are in Romania or in any corner of the world. Our vote is a right, but also a responsibility towards our common future. We in the Republic of Moldova have felt the assault on democracy that is happening in Romania. Let us elect a president who is dedicated to democratic values and to the future in the great European family. I vote for Elena Lasconi", said Dorin Recean.
Voting in the polling stations organized outside Romania for the second round of the presidential election will take place over three days, from Friday to Sunday inclusive. In the Republic of Moldova, more than 6 thousand voters have turned out so far.
