Prime Minister Dorin Recean said that it is very important that everyone should go to the polls today and make their choice in the local runoffs. “As the previous time, I today voted for Codru town to be a comfortable locality for the citizens, from children to young people, families and those who are older,” the Premier stated after casting his ballot, IPN reports.
The official noted that after the elections, everyone, together with the local public administration and the central administration, should work and continue building Europe at home. The Government and the local public authorities develop and implement projects. “It is very important that the local public authorities are efficient, honest, transparent. Correspondingly, the central public authorities should have the same attitude and there should also be better coordination,” said Premier Recean.
He expressed his confidence that the citizens will choose the local administration that will work for the citizens.
In the municipality of Chisinau, local runoffs are held in eight suburban settlements. Polling stations close at 9 p.m.
