Judoka Dorin Gotonoaga had an outstanding performance at the European Judo Cup held in Belgrade, IPN reports.
He scored six victorious in the 81kg weight class, managing to beat athletes from the Czech Republic, Serbia, Romania, Ukraine, Israel, and Russia. In the final, Gotonoaga defeated Russia’s Botyr Nuraliev.
In the same weight class, Nicon Zaboroshchuck eliminated Roland Goz of Hungary after the first round, while Iulian Pyaticovski lost to Poland’s Sebastian Marcinkiewicz in the first fight.
