The leader of the pro-Russian Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) Igor Dodon, at the polling station where he voted, said that "there are very high chances that things in the country will be changed and that today it is possible to make the change; that's why we have to go out to vote."

"Most of the Moldovans waited for this day to make the change," said the PSRM leader. Igor Dodon noted that he voted for justice and for a President who respects the Constitution.

The former head of state expressed his regret at the fact that "more favorable conditions were created for our citizens in the West, where hundreds of polling stations were established, and it is bad that the citizens in the East do not have the same opportunities to vote."

The Central Election Commission warned that political campaigning is strictly prohibited on election day. It is not allowed to carry out or cover electoral activities, while the running candidates are banned from appearing in television or radio shows, IPN reports.
