The doctor and the woman who were arrested at the end of September on suspicion of selling and using psychotropic medications will be held at Penitentiary No. 13 for 30 more days.
Head of the Chisinau City Prosecutor’s Office Ștefan Șaptefrați has told IPN that the two will be brought to justice after two examinations in this case are completed. The two plead not guilty.
The doctor, who works at Hospital No. 3 of Chisinau, is accused of selling drugs, while the woman who was arrested together with him is suspected of buying these. They were detained on September 28 and were later arrested. The found drugs and the sold ones were valued at over 200,000 lei.
The suspects face 7 to 15 years in jail.
