The Party of Socialists and the political bloc ACUM are not sure about the formation of a future government coalition. If the two entities had really wanted to reach a consensus on the future coalition, they wouldn’t have imposed conditions that they know for sure would not be accepted by the opposite side. The opinions were stated in the talk show “Key issue” on NTV Moldova channel, IPN reports.

Former Deputy Prime Minister Alexandru Muravski said that if the sides really want cooperation to exist between them, they identify two-three problems that should be solved. The discussions on laws are senseless now as this is the task of the parliamentary commissions. As the bloc ACUM announced it will discuss only the package of laws it proposed and nothing else, this makes the Socialists reject the discussions. If the PSRM had really wanted to start the negotiation process, they would have proposed sitting at the negotiating table and discussing eventual cooperation relations.

Jurist Pavel Midrigan said those who will not want snap parliamentary elections, will have to come to terms with the Democrats. In the current situation, the Democratic Party looks to have a better position amid the contradictory discussions between the PSRM and the bloc ACUM. Furthermore, the PDM is calm as it possesses enormous administrative resources, sufficient financial resources and a team.

Politologist Eduard Vardanean noted that if snap elections are held under the same mixed electoral system, the Democrats will keep the number of seats of MP and could even gain more seats. The Party of Socialists will also keep the number of seats or will increase it, while the bloc ACUM could lose a part of the seats, at least three-four seats in single-member constituencies alone.
