Moldova doesn't have financial and human potential to update, once in five years, the laws regarding constructions, says Ion Rusu, the director of the Institute of Scientific Research in Constructions „Incercom”. The official considers Moldova should borrow such legislation from neighboring countries, which have similar relief and earth-quake conditions.
„This normative basis, once taken from other countries with traditions in the area, is to be adopted to Moldova's conditions. On the other hand, it should be adjusted to the European standards, since Moldova imports most of the construction materials from the EU: wood, plastics, glass, etc.” Ion Rusu has told Info-Prim Neo.
Now, in order to insure the quality of works in the area of construction, 1,500 norms are applied.
