Dimitriana Surdu finished 14th at the IAAF World Indoor Championships that were held in Birmingham, IPN reports.
She competed in the shot put and achieved the result of 17.22 meters. Hungary’s Anita Marton emerged victorious with the result of 19.62 meters. Daniiel Thomas-Dodd of Jamaica and Lijiao Gong of China ranked second and, respectively, third.
Dimitriana Surdu, 23, took part in the Rio Olympic Games of 2016. She is a multiple champion of Moldova in the shot put.
