Today, January 20, the differentiated electricity tariffs for consumers who own smart meters came into force, according to ANRE's decision, IPN reports.
The price for household consumers connected to the low-voltage distribution networks of Premier Energy Distribution is 4.32 lei kWh from 7:00 to 23:00 and 3.31 lei kWh from 23:00 to 7:00 .
The price paid by consumers with smart meters in the northern region, located in the FEE Nord service area, connected to low-voltage grids will be 4.89 lei kWh during the day and 3.90 lei kWh at night.
Representatives of Premier Energy told IPN that they are in the process of enforcing ANRE's decision. The company has urged citizens to consult the information provided by the company in this regard to find out how they can benefit from these prices, whether they already have meters, as well as the process of purchasing and installing them.
The Ministry of Energy previously stated that it was possible to apply the differentiated tariffs once the prices come into force only for those who have electronic meters with memory and the option to record consumption by hourly intervals.
A week ago, in a meeting at the ministry, the operators said that the application of differentiated electricity tariffs was impossible at the moment and that they would be ready to do so in about 5 months.
