Rescuers have recovered the bodies of three people, including a child, from a pond in Comrat. The fourth occupant of the inflatable boat that capsized in the fatal accident on Friday afternoon was found to be safe at home.

The Inspectorate for Emergencies said that the body of a 28-year-old man was found last evening, shortly after the discovery of the body of a two-year-old. Divers resumed their search Saturday morning, and the body of another 28-year-old was found as a result.

Earlier it was reported that the boat that capsized was carrying two children and two adults, but later it was confirmed that only one child was involved in the fatal accident. The third adult involved was subsequently found at home.

No details have been provided as to how the victims were related, with the investigation going on.
