The first-fourth graders will be able to get free annual season tickets for trips by public transport in Chisinau from their educational institution. The medical personnel can obtain season tickets at a special price from the General Medical and Social Assistance Division, while the education staff – from the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport. The General Child Rights Protection Division will issue season tickets at a lower price to the heads of one parent families and to families with three and more children, IPN reports.
The General Public Transport and Communications Division said the season tickets for students will start to be printed and issued in August and will be valid from the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year. The general passengers and fifth-twelfth graders will buy season tickets from “Moldpresa” kiosks and from bus and trolleybus depots. The other students will get season tickets at a lower price than those for general passengers if they present a student permit.
The types of season tickets depending on the category of passengers and period of validity are:
General passengers: 234 lei –1 month, 594 lei – 3 months, 972 lei – 6 months;
School students: 117 lei – 1 month, 297 lei – 3 months, 486 lei – 6 months;
College and university students: 164 lei – 1 month; 416 lei – 3 months, 680 lei – 6 months;
Education personnel: 164 lei – 1 month; 416 lei – 3 months, 680 lei – 6 months;
Medical personnel: 164 lei – 1 month, 416 lei – 3 months, 680 lei – 6 months;
Heads of one parent families: 140 lei – 1 month, 356 lei – 3 months, 583 lei – 6 months;
Families with many children: 117 lei – 1 month, 297 lei – 3 months, 486 lei – 6 months,;
Business entities: 235 lei – 1 month, 594 lei – 3 months, 972 lei – 6 months.
A number of categories of persons will travel free by public transport on the presentation of confirmation documents. Among these are persons who retired due to old age, public functionaries with a special status of the Ministry of Home Affairs (police officers, officers of the State Guard and Protection Service, employees of the General Border Police Inspectorate), carabineers, citizens who were conferred particular awards, citizens of honor of the municipality of Chisinau, war veterans, persons with different disability degrees. The given travel conditions will be applied on a temporary basis, until the regulations on the issuing and distribution of season tickets are approved.
