Deputy Premier Popșoi leaves for Japan

Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will pay a working visit to Japan on November 12-13, IPN reports.

The official is scheduled to meet with his Japanese counterpart Takeshi Iwaya. According to the MFA, methods to extend the bilateral and multilateral dialogue and the intensification of economic cooperation are to be discussed.

The agenda of the visit also includes meetings with the leaders of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group, as well as representatives of Keizai Doyukai Japan Association of Corporate Executives. The discussions during the meetings will focus on Japanese assistance for the development of the Republic of Moldova, business opportunities in Moldova for Japanese investors and the intensification of interparliamentary cooperation.

Also, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi will meet with members of the Moldovan community in Japan.
