Deputy Interior Minister dismissed

The Government today removed Iurie Cheptanaru from the office of Deputy Minister of the Interior, replacing him with Valeriu Ciobanu, who prior to this post served as department head at the Anticorruption Center, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to newly-appointed Interior Ministr Dorin Recean, Valeriu Ciobanu has the necessary experience and competence to meet the requirements of the job. The decision comes a day after Alexei Roibu was discharged from the post of Interior Minister and replaced with Deputy ICT Minister Dorin Recean. PM Vlad Filat instructed the ministers and the heads of other government agencies to analyze the situation within their institutions, look for “weak links” and propose replacements.
