More than 9,000 deportees and political detainees will be allocated by a lump sum of 700 lei in connection with the events held to commemorate the mass deportations from Moldova, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family, over 6.3 million lei will be provided from the state budget for the purpose.
The money will be distributed through the agency of the local population support funds by July 6.
On July 6, it is marked the second wave of deportations of 1949, which is considered the largest. It is known as the operation IUG (South).
