The members of the parliamentary platform For Moldova, which includes the MPs of the Shor Party, said the political agenda should be moved to the second place and the state agenda should be at the forefront. The crisis cannot be overcome without consulting all the political forces. A functional government should be named only as a result of a dialogue. Parliament could be later dissolved and the date of snap elections could be set, but not to the detriment of the state, IPN reports.

After consolations with President Maia Sandu, the For Moldova MPs voiced hope that they were heard. MP Denis Ulanov said the discussion was good and centered on the deepening crisis. They reiterated the fact that the parliamentary majority proposed a candidate for Prime Minister. According to them, the country cannot hold snap elections in the absence of a functional government.

Denis Ulanov also said that a Premier should have been voted in long ago, but none of the candidates proposed by the President wanted to be really invested. There will always be political confrontation and thinking that the snap elections will eliminate this confrontation is something of a utopia.

The MP noted they will see how things develop and what decisions will be announced by President Sandu, but the political agenda should come after the state agenda.

President Maia Sandu on March 26 invited the parliamentary groups to consultations after a quorum at the March 25 sitting of Parliament was not present and the government program and the Cabinet proposed by candidate for Prime Minister Igor Grosu could not be considered. This was the second attempt to vote in a Government with full powers, after the first attempt of February 11 also failed. For Moldova and the Party of Socialists didn’t go to those consultations, arguing they need to attend the Parliament sitting. President Sandu invited them again to discussions on March 29.
