Delegation of UK’s House of Commons to visit Moldova

8 British Lords and members of the House of Commons affiliated with the three major UK political parties: the Labour Party, the Conservative Party and the Liberal-Democratic Party – will pay a visit to Chisinau during October 5-8. The delegation is headed by the lord Dubs de Battersea. According to a press release of the British Embassy in Chisinau, the current visit aims to strengthen relations with Moldovan parliamentarians and encourage a closer collaboration between the Legislatures of both countries. Discussions will focus on ways to develop the existing political and socio-economic relations between Great Britain and the Republic of Moldova. As part of their agenda the delegation will hold meetings with Parliament Speaker Marian Lupu, First Deputy Prime Minister şi Zinaida Grecianii, Minister of Reintegration Vasile Sova, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Valeriu Ostalep and members of the Moldovan Parliament. The British visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in the National Wine Day celebrations and get a taste for Moldovan culture and traditions, Lord Dubs emphasized. A Press Conference with the participation of Marian Lupu, Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament and Lord Dubs of Battersea, Head of UK Parliamentary Delegation, will be held at the Parliament on Friday, October 6.
