Delegation of Romania’s Parliament Senate to pay official visit to Moldova

An official delegation of the Romanian Senate, headed by Nicolae Vacaroiu, chairman of the Senate will pay on September 24-26 a visit to Moldova, during which he will meet with officials from Chisinau. The delegation will arrive in Moldova on Sunday, September 24 in the evening. On Monday, the members of the delegation will visit the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, where they will meet with the leadership of the Legislative body, leaders of the factions, MPs, and afterwards a tête-à-tête meeting between Nicolae Vacaroiu and Marian Lupu will be held. The agenda of the visit includes meetings with President of the Republic of Moldova, Vladimir Voronin, PM Vasile Tarlev and the Minister of Economy and Commerce, Igor Dodon. After these meetings the guests from Romania will lay flowers at the monument of Stefan cel Mare (Stephen the Great). Moldovan authorities announced previously that Traian Basescu also planned to pay an official visit to the Republic of Moldova this autumn.
