Setting up bus-only lanes on Ştefan cel Mare Blvd in Chisinau is delayed due to weather conditions and other circumstances, municipal transport chief Vitalie Mihalache told Monday’s ordinary City Hall meeting.
Mihalache also said there is an “atypical segment” of road with non-standard width, and so as to avoid the trouble of having to adjust the marking on the entire street, it has been decided in consultation with the police to leave that segment without a dedicated lane.
On another subject, Mihalache said that a freshly painted bike lane on Dacia Blvd in Botanica district is being constantly overrun by cars, which are smudging the paint off. The transport chief called on motorists to show respect.
