Attending the meeting of the Government, the incumbent President Vladimir Voronin said that the given decision is very important for strengthening the statehood of the Republic of Moldova as Romania constantly interferes in Moldova’s affairs. The head of state reiterated that the protests in downtown Chisinau are nothing but elements of a putsch and that the hoisting of Romania’s flag on the building of the Presidential Office is not accidental. The visas will be issued free of charge only at the Consular Section of the Embassy of Moldova in Bucharest within a period of time that “will be maximally convenient for the citizens of the neighboring country”, Andrei Stratan said.
