The period between March 30 and April 03 that was declared nonworking for public sector employees will be considered working days and will be included as such in the salaries for March and April, as the Commission for Exceptional Situations decided on March 38.

The Commission also decided that the provision of one-time rewards during the state of emergency will be suspended, IPN reports.

The decision specifies that the period will not be considered nonworking for those who ask to go on leave or are on annual live and receive leave benefit or are on unpaid leave.

The given period is also not considered nonworking for those who were placed in a waiting regime by order of employers, those who will work from home by the decision of the employer to do pressing work, those who will determine salaries for March and those who will ensure the functionality of the treasury system.

During the state of emergency, the managers of public sector institutions will be able to decide the length of the employees’ leave and to call back employees from annual leave, unpaid leave or study leave.

They will also be able to distribute the working time during the week by an order, determining the period of time worked by each employee, and to entrust new duties related to the containing of the COVID-19 pandemic to employees.
