Daniel Procopciuc has become world arm-wrestling champion among seniors at the championships held in Budapest. In the final of the 70 kg class, the pupil of coach Alexandru Grumeza beat Lithuania’s Mindaugas Tarasaitis, IPN reports.
Procopciuc is also a European champion. He is from Falesti and is a student of the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu”.
At the World Arm-Wrestling Championships in Hungary, Oleg Tudorean won gold in the youth category. Valeria Chiparus won two silvers, Vladimir Butucea one silver and one bronze medals, while Mihaela Lazar a bronze. In Budapest, Moldova was represented by 11 athletes.
