More than 2,000 bottles with different medicines that pose a threat to people’s health were found and seized by the police in the storehouse of a Chisinau company owned by a 35-year-old inhabitant of Chisinau municipality, IPN has learned from the General Police Inspectorate.
It was established that the medicines were brought from Russia and had been sold online for about eight months. Each product was sold for 200-250 lei. As a result of searches carried out in the owners’ car and house and in the storehouse, the police discovered medicines for increasing potency and teas for losing weight to the value of about 600,000 lei, compliance certificates issued by Russian suppliers, accounting records and import documents.
The suspect faces a fine of 16,000 to 20,000 lei or up to three years in jail for keeping and providing products that are dangerous for health and life.
