Dacia has qualified for the second round of Europa League after beating the Macedonian team Renova in the return game played in Orhei. After suffering a 1-0 defeat abroad, Igor Dobrovolski’s pupils won a 4-1 victory, IPN reports.

Eugen Cociuc opened the score in the 9th minute, with a fabulous goal from about 35 meters. The guests entered the qualifying rounds after Emini tied in the 32nd minute. After the break, the ‘yellow wolves’ improved the play. Vasile Jardan scored from a great distance in the 55th minute, while Vasili Pavlov scored five minutes later. The final score was set by Evgeny Lozovyi in the last minute.

“I’m satisfied with my team’s performance, especially in the second half. Three goals in the return game were scored by my pupils and this is another satisfaction of mine,” Dacia coach Igor Dobrovolski told a news conference.

In the next road, Dacia meets the Slovak team Zilina. The two teams competed also in the 2009-2010 season and the ‘yellow wolves’ suffered then two defeats: 0-2 in Slovakia and 0-1 in Chisinau. The encounter between Dacia and Renova will take place in Orhei on July 16. The return game will be played in a week in Slovakia.

Another two teams from Moldova didn’t manage to qualify for the second round. Sheriff tied 0-0 in Norway with Odd after it lost 0-3 in Tiraspol, while Saxan suffered a new defeat, losing 0-2 to Apollon of Cyprus.
