Even if it started the second half of the championship on the fourth place, Dacia has good chances to win the title of champion. It climbed to the first spot in the National Division after beating Speranta away 1-0, IPN reports.

19-year-old Maxim Cojocaru in the 17th minute scored his fourth goal the current season. “We are happy that we obtained the three points that were at stake as we expected a hard match,” Dacia coach Viorel Frunza told a news conference.

Dacia thus has the same number of points as Sheriff, which failed to defeat Dinamo-Auto in Ghidighici. Bosnian striker Zoran Kvrzic failed to score and the match ended by 0-0. If Sheriff and Dacia win victories during the next two stages, a ‘golden’ match will be played on May 30.

Zaria missed again the chance to move up, obtaining only a 1-1 draw with Saxan. Alexandru Onica opened the score in the third minute, but Eza tied for the hosts towards the end of the first half.

The encounter between Petrocub and Zimbru ended by 1-1, with the goals being scored by Plamadeala and Portuguese striker Hugo Neto. The last match of the 31st stage, between FC Ungheni and Milsami, was scheduled for May 8.
