Dacia wasn’t affected by the resignation of coach Dejan Vukicevic and managed to defeat Sheriff by 3-2 in the 14th stage of the National Division. This is the second victory scored by Dacia against Sheriff this season and in the history of the championship, IPN reports.
The score was opened by Sheriff through the international Radu Ginsari in the 14th minute. Dacia replied before the break through Petru Leuca and Vladimir Zastavnyi. In the 79th minute, Alexandru Bejan scored for 3-1, while the top scorer of the championship Ricardinho set the final score in the 84th minute.
“We were determined to win because the victory allows us to hope for a new title of champion,” acting coach of Dacia Veaceslav Semionov told a news conference.
“This is the football. We led the game, but two individual mistakes thwarted our plans. Dacia probably wanted this victory more,” said the coach of Sheriff Zoran Zekic.
Sheriff continues to lead in the rankings, but has the same score as Veris, which beat Zimbru 1-0. The other matches of the 14th stage ended as follows: Costuleni - Milsami 0-2, Tiraspol - Zaria 2-0, and Saxan - Dinamo-Auto 2-1.
