The fate of the title of champion in the National Division for the second consecutive year will be decided in the “golden match”. The protagonists are the same teams as last year: Dacia Chisinau and Sheriff Tiraspol. The game is played at the Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau on May 30, IPN reports.
Dacia and Sheriff finished the season with the same number of points. In the last stage, the “yellow wolves” were leading 2-0 on the field of Saxan owing to the two goals scored by Bulgaria’s Sarmov. But the hosts had the power to tie. Eza transformed a penalty kick, while Mamah diverted the goal into his team’s net. The victory goal was scored by Ismail Isa in the 62nd minute.
For his part, Sheriff demolished FC Ungheni 6-0 in Chisinau. Vitalie Damascan opened the score in the 11th minute, while Ricardinho set the score of the first half in the 28th minute. In the second half, Ricardinho scored two more goals and became the top scorer of the National Division for the second time. Bayala also scored, while Negru scored an own goal.
Milsami Orhei finished the championship third after beating Zaria Balti 2-0. Both of the goals for the hosts were scored in the first half by Petru Racu and Alexandru Boiciuc. The other two matches of the last stage ended in a draw. Zimbru was led by Dinamo-Auto, but managed to tie through fullback Starysh, while Speranta kept the seventh place after the 0-0 draw with Academia.
