Representatives of civil society consider the current election campaign in Chisinau municipality was more interesting than ever. This included different subject lines and conspiracy theories, said experts invited to the talk show “Key issue” on NTV Moldova channel, IPN reports.
Civic activist Vitalie Voznoi said new formats of communication were applied in the current election campaign. “Starting with the last week before the first round of the mayoral elections, the campaign became a very dirty one and everything became more intense. I think we will yet witnesses several memorable events this week,” he stated.
Chairman of the youth movement “Followers of Stefan” Dumitru Roibu said the two camps, of Andrei Nastase and Ion Ceban, have been radicalized during the last two weeks of the campaign. “Regrettably, this leads to the appearance of clashes and disputes between friends and relatives only because some support one candidate, while the others support the other candidate,” he noted, adding that this thing can be avoided when the candidates meet and discuss directly all the problems.
Activist Sergiu Ungureanu welcomed the fact that the aspirants for the post of mayor realize the importance of civil society and the necessity of communicating with this.
