During June 1-4, a series of cultural events will be held for the delegations visiting Moldova on the occasion of the European Political Community Summit. The events include an International Theater Festival, the Festival of Creative Industries, book launch events and exhibitions.
According to the organizers, the purpose of the events is to familiarize the visitors with the Moldovan culture and national values. “The delegations that come to visit us want to discover our country as it is. What we can do better is to promote authenticity, the destinations that represent us and that can generate tourist interest even after the big event. On June 1 and 2, several cultural events will be organized to bring foreigners closer to our cultural values. In terms of impact, all those who will come to write about our country will become the messengers of Moldova”, stated Andrei Chistol, State Secretary at the Ministry of Culture.
“It is not easy to invest in the image of a country, and the EPC Summit represents a suitable opportunity to share culture and communicate positively about the Republic of Moldova. It is essential to demonstrate this openness, hospitality, curiosity to get in touch with all who will come, to tell our stories and to assume, for a few hours, the role of guides of our country”, added Chistol.
Moldova is the host of the Summit of the European Political Community that will take place on June 1, bringing together 50 presidents, prime ministers and senior European officials. The summit will take place at Mimi Castle in Bulboaca village, Anenii Noi district, located approximately 35 kilometers from Chisinau.
